I have a small home office with 5 computers hooked up to a network. I
have a cable modem ($29.95 / month) that goes into my file server which
runs windows 2000. Windows 2000 has the software built in to allow
connection sharing among the entire network. Took about 2 minutes to set
up. The cable modem cost $99. Speed is fantastic even when all are
downloading large files.
They may charge more for a business, but tell them it is a non-profit and
maybe they can give you a "home" rate, or at least not charge tax.
[To keep this on topic] I use this to back up my web server and database
server... I use the file server to store a complete copy of the webserver..
where I test changes first before uploading them... and I copy all of the
data in the sql server every night. Transfer about 100-200 megs of data
every night.
