Ah ok then. thanks Charlie. I've learned two things here on this thread.
The other thing I've learned is that I dont know what's wrong with Tony's insert, and if it was my project, I'd be looking for ways to see the actual insert created by ColdFusion.. Then i'd tinker around with that until I found the character(s) causing the problem. That would tell me what I should change in the ColdFusion code. I'll now sit back and watch to see what turns out to be the cause. Thanks again Charlie.
