It may be a pain in the butt, but whenever I create a new site in DW, I 
always export the site to a common folder on my desktop.  In the event that 
Windows crashes, which is usually when I lose all my sites, I just do an 
import.

It sucks, but works.

BTW, did DW 2004 fix this issue?
