Yes, I'm beginning to think this may be the best compromise. Particularly as, although there's about 18k categories, probably 10% of those are queried 90% of the time. So, following on from this ... does anyone know if there is a way of programmatically 'sizing' a variable (or CFC) to see how much memory it's consuming?
