I have to interface one of my Coldfusion applications with a dBase IV
database. Since CF doesn't have a dBase IV JDBC driver, I'm guessing
the only way it's going to work is by using the Datadirect ODBC bridge
(sequelink server) with the MS Jet dBase ODBC driver. Unfortunately,
the data is not on the CFMX server; it is on a remote windows NT server.
I can install Sequelink server on that machine and use the "other"
database type to use sequelink's JDBC driver to connect to that server
for the data.

My question is, since Sequelink is packaged with CFMX, what is the
licensing model for the product? Does it only cover using Sequelink on
the CFMX server itself? Does it support installation on other machines
and if so, how do I install it? (since the installshield w/ CFMX really
only works with the cfusionmx directory, the cfmx installer, and other
cfmx specific items, it seems obvious to me that it's only meant for use
on the coldfusion server, but I thought I'd ask)

The next step of this process is to put the CFMX server on Linux, which
means I'll *really* have to put Sequelink on another server, since Linux
won't afford me the ODBC drivers I need.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Joe
