I don't get it?

Why wouldn't you just do:

<cfquery name="rs" dbtype="query">
  select firstname,lastname,middlename from rsname
  order by lastname, firstname, middlename
<cfquery>

I don't get what the sort_ columns are

Subject: query of query - order by columns not dropped - bug?

Has anyone else noticed a query of query including columns in the
order by clause in the returned query even when they are not included
in the select list? I.e.

<cfquery name="rs" dbtype="query">
  select firstname,lastname,middlename from rsname
  order by sort_lastname, sort_firstname, sort_middlename
<cfquery>

When I execute this query the column list of the result is

firstname,lastname,middlename,sort_firstname,sort_lastname

instead of firstname,lastname,middlename as it ought to be

just wondering if anyone else has seen this... I'm using a second
query of query to work around it -- though I hate to add the overhead
to do that.
