Single-platform is cheap, around $600 or $800 if memory serves me correctly, but the multi-platform version that handles all database platforms (the one we use) was $2,500 plus $750 for the first year's maintenance, which you had to buy, so it was a total of $3,250 for the initial purchase.
This may seem like a lot of money, but I can tell you that it is the most cost-effective purchase I've made for my business over the past twenty years, and it has resulted in better software for our customers.
