We are having trouble accessing MySQL 4.1 with CFMX. When we start using the connection (it is on a remote server) everything is fine for a few minutes and then CFMX starts crashing. (As crashing we'll see CF pages return with just a couple characters .< or something.)
We have followed all the prescribed set up for MySQL 4.1 but continue to see this problem on a production box. We don't have a problem on a development server pointing at the same MySQL db so it may have to do with load, but even on a small app we see the crashing start after a short while. Here are some error details: Event Viewer Entries: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ColdFusion MX ODBC Server ) cannot be found. Out of desperation we even tried the MyODBC connection but seem to be having trouble with that also. We are running on Windows 2003, CFMX all up to date, MySQL 4.1 on separate Windows 2000 server. Any suggestions appreciated.
