I'm missing something here.
On this site: http://www.jaxfusion.org/ there is the following in the CSS:
#mainMenu a:hover {
color: #FCD031;
text-decoration: underline;
}
And it seems to work in both IE 6.x and FireFox.

:hover works in any browser but Internet Explorer. The workaround
to make Inetrnet Explorer support :hover obviously only works in
Internet Explorer.
