Guys, I'll try to make this concise and to the point, but it may be hard.
On my clothing db/site, I'm basically letting her SQL Server db up on the web BE her real time db. I'm not planning on installing anything application or db wise on her machine, and I'll be backing up from SQL S. to MY machine. I'm using Mal's for the cart, and a program that downloads her orders that I'll install on HER machine, probably mine too. This program can export orders in any number of ways, speadsheet, XML, access, csv, etc..etc.. I'm trying to think of a routine I can run where she can upload a file to her server, and have CF run through it, update quantity levels in the db. Keep in mind I'm still a rookie, but I can pick it up fast! Would I have her upload a XML file? Then schedule a template to run that file, run a query from it that updates our DB? And if so, HOW would I do this?
