I know that a lot of people stay away from CFTREE and for good reason with it being a JAVA applet and the issues involved with that. However, there's a site that I'm having to help with that uses it and we're having a strange problem. On our in-house development server, we are able to view the page and see the <cftree> java applet without any trouble. However, when we move it to the Production server (on a military base) we cannot view the java applet. People on the base can see it, but we can't. Both servers are using CFMX 6.1. When connection to the production site we have to have these secure certificates installed on the machine trying to access the site (called PKI) and I'm wondering if that could potentially have anything to do with it. We've tried navigating from a machine directly to the /cfide/cfclasses/cfapplets.jar file and we are prompted with a download box and we're able to download it to the desktop so I would assume that means that we are able to access the directory correctly and that it must be either some sort of browser issue or a firewall issue. The specific error we get in the bottom corner of the browser is: Applet coldfusion.applets.CFTreeApplet notinited Anyone see this sort of thing before or know what else I could look at? I've gone through all that I can think of and I'm just not really experienced with using java applets. Any ideas would be great. Thanks! John Burns
