We're at the same point you are with this very thing at my company Adam--we're using the Notes SQL driver (which isn't especially pretty since Notes isn't relational), and we're getting some data back but it's a bit weird. Lots of issues to work through. This is going to be more or less my life over the next few months so as I work through this I'll definitely share my pain.
