Just as a data point, back in the early 90's I worked for a product
company in the UK that sold QA software at �6,000 per seat. When we
started selling it into the US market, we priced it at $9,000. The
Americans were incensed!! They said it should be $6,000 "just like it
is in the UK" (pardon??).

So, just to point out that transatlantic pricing has *always* been a
complicated issue with no good solutions - differences in tax and
exchange rates make it a near intractable problem.
