30 minutes is pretty standard with shared hosts.

CT told me they wouldn't change anything for me, and pointed me to their
knowledge base article on this.

Subject: Why am I getting the error "Session is invalid?"
Article #791

Because of the amount of memory that they use up, the ColdFusion session
variable timeout limit is set to 30 minutes on our servers. This error
occurs when the underlying J2EE session times out before the ColdFusion
session times out, ie when you have set the timeout in your application.cfm
to longer than 30 minutes. If you need session timeouts of more than 30
minutes, you should use client variables instead.

Aren't THEY the ones that should match up the settings like Sean says?
