Yes...a text editor is a text editor is a text editor. You won't obviously won't get syntax highlighting etc. for CFM. > You certainly can't say that m$ does as much for web developers as MM > unless you mean M$ only web developers and then they can't come up > with anything good thats original or their own. I'm a MS web developer and I'd like to think I do good work. If you've ever used VS for ASP.NET work, you'd see there's a lot MS does for its developers that would be nice to have in an MM IDE. > So they have what? .net and...... ..net...and...market share, and a nice IDE, and a wide range of products that, despite quality issues, sell based on the MS brand alone. Not that I'm a huge fan of the company, but they have a lot going for them, and a lot of smart people. > They can't even make their damn hunk o junk browser right Ok, IE is a piece... > remember asp and how BIG it was gunna be........ It was big. Still is. And I can't stand it (classic or ASP.NET). > Isnt vs just a glorified fp anyway? No, not at all. VS comes from VB and Visual C. It may have a little bit of the old FP for dealing with web stuff, but VS is their IDE for all MS development, not just web stuff. > I can't truely imagine that they'd come up with something that that > couldnt control the code output from, then were would there monopoly go? They know it'd be pointless to do that, because we'd call it .aspx then rename it .cfm. > i type this as i am reformating and reinstalling everything > AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like a neat trick, how exactly are you typing this?
