In all honesty though can you name any other SMTP client that won't retry
the sending of failed emails, often forever until you delete them manually
from the outbox, trying every 3 minutes (or whatever your "send and receive"
interval is set to) until it successfully sends it.

It couldn't hurt to have a retry count and retry interval in the CF
administrator and in all honesty it surely wouldn't be that hard.  Default
values of 3 and 30 seconds would (I suspect) fix 90% of the mail that ends
up in the undeliverable folder, perhaps more.
