One of the biggest problem with Outlook is that it can't subscribe to an internet-based calendar or import an icalendar file that contains more than one event. In comparison, Apple's iCal lets you subscribe to published calendar files, publish your own and supports a limitless number of events per file. I was planning a huge calendar system for work that would have Outlook integration via icalendar and was terribly disappointed to find out how bad Outlook was with calendaring.
