I'm working on a rewrite of the events/news schedule for our company's website and was thinking of storing all of the data in the Application scope to be reloaded every X minutes. My question is whether it would be bad from a scaling or resource usage point-of-view to do this? I would probably be storing a few megabytes of data, not a huge amount IMHO.
