I agree and I think the point to remember is that if clients and users knew what they wanted 100% from the get-go we wouldn't be having this conversation as any approach would suffice, performance being a non factor of course. Needless to say, experience shows us that specs change, requirements change, news ways of doing things evolve that enhance reliability, scalability, etc so we tailor changes and refactoring around all that.... so why wouldn't we make things more easily maintainable, even if we do not foresee changes... especially when you are only talking a couple minutes here and there?!! A client would gladly pay an extra $50 now compared to the excuses and rates of complex changes in the future! Oh well, frankly I must be in an argumentative mood tonight... or is that everyday?.... either way no sense in arguing about it as we all have our ways of doing things, right or wrong, and most of us adapt when we discover better ways of doing things. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:196661 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
