Possibly.  My thinking is that it's because people in our company are
the only ones who go from client site to client site and they wanted
to make sure the session was cleared every time we would go to a
different client's site.

I'm going to set up a custom tag to clear out the session variables we
set (but not the ones automatically set by CF) for each client.

Again, thanks for all the help. This was not a fun problem to track down.
