I'm sorry, I missed a lot of this thread, but if it's in MX, just go
into the xml file and set the attribute that is something along the
lines of "requirePassword" to false and then go to the address for cf
admin and it will log you in automatically.  Then go to the password
page and check the "require a password" box and enter the password you
want to use and click save.  That will take care of it.  I believe CF 5
has the same sort of thing but it's in the registry instead.

Only stores the encrypted password.  Presumably, there is some way to
decrypt the password...
