This is a fundamental belief in many organizations. CF suffers for this. Many people think that it's too expensive (the "why pay $1200 for CF when I can do PHP/ASP for free!" argument) while many others think it's too cheap - a toy (the "how can a $5000 product possibly compete with WebSphere at $73,000" argument).
