Yes, that would be the answer I was looking for. One problem is that XMPP servers are normally not on the same machine with CF currently (with shared hosting) and flash based RIA require same machine access even with a crossdomain.xml file on hand. So having a jabber server gateway included with coldfusion would increase XMPP usability and therefore increase the value CF. I only found Jive after jabber.org went down (do to hackers), so I could not offer this enhancement request earlier. Call this a belayed submission.

They weren't 'mixed' - Jive was running as a separate server on the same box tho'...
