Heck, if we're all doing introductions... > Ah, the happy early days of the web... I had a personal website back > in '94 I think, then set up a (one-man) consulting company in '95. The > Wayback Machine shows this late-'96 version of my company site:
In '94 I was riding a mountain bike all over the place - because I couldn't drive yet, and had lost interest in computers. It's actually a recurring theme: 1979 - Born 1984/5 - Got an Apple IIc at my Montessori school. Immediately got worse at coloring and other things I was supposed to be doing, because Logo etc. was much more fun. 1985 - Began to have trouble with grammar because I learned BASIC while learning to read. Oops. 1987 - Got a bike. Began riding it all over the place. 1992 - Fell off bike. Knee surgery (right). Took up qBasic while recovering from surgery. 1993 - Took up VB2.0. 1994 - Got new mountain bike. Began riding it all over the place. No more VB. 1997 - Went to college, stopped riding bike, needed job, learned HTML. 1999 - ColdFusion 2001 - Got new road bike. Worked with computers during the day, averaged 200 miles / week on the bike. 2002 - Starting racing road bikes. Great sport. 2003 - Fell off road bike. Knee surgery (left). Learned Flash / RIA. 2004 - Knee not 100%, no bike racing. Started blog, started writing about CF. 2005 - Not quite sure where I'll go. The racing season starts in a few months, but I'm out of shape. -- For Tabs, Trees, and more, use the jComponents: http://clearsoftware.net/client/jComponents.cfm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:197689 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
