Interestingly enough, I did not have a zero bit neo-query.xml file as 
mentioned in this technote from 2002. I had no neo-query.xml file at all. 
So, I guess the migration failed. Copying the neo-query.xml file from the 
cfroot\lib\cf6settings directory left behind from the installer resolved 
the problem though....
