I hear ya. I've had a few late nights where I've considered chucking it all too, but the scary stuff only happens now once every several months now. After a fashion I figured out how to keep a server stable and happy. But it sure didn't start out that way. Speaking personally I just can't imagine going back to a world where a client wants X and I can't just make it happen for them, or I have to sit and pray for a fix that I know I could have effected myself in 2 minutes. Plus there's the money side of it. I could put up with the loss of income (and since I added a for-now-barely-utilized server in January thats what I just did) ... but NO WAY could I lose the control without going insane. -- --mattRobertson-- Janitor, MSB Web Systems mysecretbase.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:198485 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
