I hear ya. I've had a few late nights where I've considered chucking
it all too, but the scary stuff only happens now once every several
months now. After a fashion I figured out how to keep a server stable
and happy. But it sure didn't start out that way.

Speaking personally I just can't imagine going back to a world where a
client wants X and I can't just make it happen for them, or I have to
sit and pray for a fix that I know I could have effected myself in 2
minutes. Plus there's the money side of it. I could put up with the
loss of income (and since I added a for-now-barely-utilized server in
January thats what I just did) ... but NO WAY could I lose the control
without going insane.
