WRT the license scanner...That is a different issue than the J2EE sessions.  We 
spoke with the CrystalTech folks last week and informed them that the scanner 
only runs on request (clicking a button in the Administrator).  The scanner may 
also be disabled completely by setting listen=false in the license.properties 
file.  They made this change and this solved the problem 100%.
