You can enable this within your web server configuration, typically. However, I've never done that with the built-in CF/JRun web server, so I can't tell you offhand how to do that. You might find that information here: http://www.vandieten.net/jochem/coldfusion/customtags/login/ However, you might instead try Jochem's suggestion. I haven't used CF to force a Basic Authentication prompt before, but it's worth a try.
