Since you are a product evangelist and I assume get a salary from Macromedia, I would think it would be in their best interest to let you use some "company time" to write the books you do, especially the ones that have to do with their products. Is that not the case? If you're working on all the books on your own time, nights and weekends, then you must never sleep. If the first case is true, you're still getting an advance and a regular paycheck from MM, and maybe royalties depending on your contract. If the second case is true, I'd say you were quite insane!
