i agree with adam, go with teh J2EE install not the standalone.  Kind
of a waste of money to have enterprise and run the standalone install,
IMHO.  This way you can setup a JRun cluster if need be and handle
load better witha little failover even.  Also, the sim req setting is
different in the J2EE install, have to mod an xml file is all.  What
to set it at depends on DB call times/intensity among other things. 
Might be able to set it as high as 20 with a HT proc.  have to test
it.  Look at Pete Frietag's blog as well as Steven Erat's blog for
good tuning info.  Oh and Riob Sen's blog too.
