I want to select all records from a table that "do not" contain the number

Sheesh! Why is it so difficult to select records this way...
the query was
Select *
>From CaseDetail, CaseInfo
Where CaseDetail.CaseID=CaseInfo.CaseID
And CaseDetail.StatusID ????????? 6
I've tried NEQ, Does Not Contain, <or!=, Just about everything.... I'm
lost!
