The only problem we've run into with CLOB columns and CFMX 6.1 Standard is the 
4000 byte limit. There are various workarounds for that. I just made a simple 
function that breaks any CLOB column insert/update strings into an array of 
chunks of no more than 4000 characters, then loops through the array to update 
the column. This function at cflib did half the work for me:
