The only problem we've run into with CLOB columns and CFMX 6.1 Standard is the 4000 byte limit. There are various workarounds for that. I just made a simple function that breaks any CLOB column insert/update strings into an array of chunks of no more than 4000 characters, then loops through the array to update the column.
