Could it be a time zone issue?  Is Novell trying to adjust your system time
to match the server time?

Thank you Connie for sending me that script. The fact that it works for
*you* in both IE and Firefox, plus trying other scripts on the web, helped
me to isolate the problem to my workstation. It turns out to be a
frustrating interaction between Firefox and Novel. If I log on to my
workstation without using the Novel client, the script works fine. I'm not
sure why this is happening or what I can do about it, but at least I've
narrowed it down.
