Disk space is cheap, especially if the servers are using IDE drives. I can but a 250 GB hard drive for about $100 at Best Buy. Bandwidth is where they usually limit you that will make any difference. I've seen some places offer Unlimited storage with 1GB of monthly bandwidth. Technically, you couldn't store more than 1GB on the server in a month without going over your limit. Also, places like that probably put a TON of sites on the same server and you all fight for bandwidth and for server performance.
