Chris, I would upgrade to 4.5.1 (or maybe 4.5.1 SP 1 which came out
yesterday or so).
See if you get the same errors then.
Did you check the database backend as well ? Which one do you have ?
It seems for me to be that s.o. in one query might run an indefinite cfloop
without any end !?
I had this case a couple of days ago. I had to stop the CF-server. Otherwise
I don't see any
other case why you would a have a nonstop CPU-load.
A good question on how providers are doing this. Probably only pray that
s.o. is not making these faults.
Or they run a good restart-service.

Subject: CF server at 99% system resources?
howdy all,
I'm working on a rather large record label site here in Canada. Recently,
our CF server has begun to timeout very often (like daily), and I have to
restart the service. When I check the resource meter in NT, the CFserver
program is taking 99% of system resources. We're currently getting roughly
10,000 unique IPs per day to the site, and its running on a brand new dell
poweredge server, a fibre connection, with win2000, and CF 4.5.
I just reduced the number unresponsive requests in the control panel to 3,
and the timeout is set to 30 secs. Still doing it. I figure that may be
some weird programming loop happening that the server is getting caught in.
I looked at the CFlogs, but they don't tell me what template may be causing
the problem. Is there a way to find the last processed template?
Large hosting co's handle hundreds of CF accounts without checking their
code... how do they configure their servers?
thanks for your time!
