I am not running CFMX on Java 1.5 yet (just about to get around to move my local dev server to it), but have been using the 1.5 JVM for other things, and I am finding it to be pretty stable. They are on the second updater, so you don't have to worry about it being bleeding edge anymore. As for performance, you should probably see some boost, checkout: http://java.sun.com/performance/reference/whitepapers/5.0_performance.html Though Some of the performance boosts Java 1.5 offers comes from new language features (such as the new concurrency api), which CFMX is not using so you won't see those. Just like any upgrade you should test your app before going live with it, but it's also not very hard to go back to the old jvm either. -- ______________________________________ Pete Freitag work: http://www.cfdev.com/ blog: http://www.petefreitag.com/ shop: http://www.dealazon.com/ Author of the CFMX Developers Cookbook http://www.petefreitag.com/bookshelf/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Logware (www.logware.us): a new and convenient web-based time tracking application.
