Hi Alex,

I am not running CFMX on Java 1.5 yet (just about to get around to move 
my local dev server to it), but have been using the 1.5 JVM for other 
things, and I am finding it to be pretty stable. They are on the second 
updater, so you don't have to worry about it being bleeding edge anymore.

As for performance, you should probably see some boost, checkout: 
http://java.sun.com/performance/reference/whitepapers/5.0_performance.html

Though Some of the performance boosts Java 1.5 offers comes from new 
language features (such as the new concurrency api), which CFMX is not 
using so you won't see those.

Just like any upgrade you should test your app before going live with 
it, but it's also not very hard to go back to the old jvm either.
