It's pretty straightforward for us. We just check out the source tree
locally and configure CFMX the same as our shared servers (and
production). We have hooks in the code that allow non-SSL access for
non-production servers (and hence desktops). Everything that runs in
production can run locally. Some of our developers even have their own
local Oracle instance and have macromedia.com running completely on
their laptop. About the only thing we don't (yet) have set up in
localhost is a JMS message hub but that wouldn't be too much of a
stretch...
