We are still on CF5.0 and use MySQL as our database of choice. We've recently added some functionality that has added traffic to our website and now are encountering CF stop and restarts multiple times a day. When I check the server and webserver logs I see the cryptic Unknown error threshold reached. Restarting service. and Location 26 errors. Looking at the archives, it looks like this is an older problem that has no exact cause. I'm trying to crank up MySQL thinking that performance on the databases are at the root of the problem as the new functionality writes to log files much more that it used to. I upped the amount of memory in the key buffer and sort buffer in MySQL last night, but we still stopped and restarted six times today. I know this is basically a needle in a haystack situation but I'm hoping someone might point to a certain setting or settings to look at that might help.
