I am not an expert on this topic but I just took Microsoft's 2003
Server class and they were pretty emphatic about anonymous logons
being a bad idea, so I'd like to chime in and say yes, I think this is
definitely the way to go.

If you'd like a reference to buttress your argument with Data Security
(!) I can probably find it in the book tonight.
