We haven't isolated the specific one, but we've narrowed it down to one in this list:
Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 Automatic update Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB893086) Automatic update Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB890859) Automatic update Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB893066) Automatic update Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB890923) Automatic update I think we can assume it wasn't the IE patch, and probably was not the windows installer 3.1, but we've not verified it. Until I have a fail over server, I'm not willing to try to isolate it, and really, I'm not sure if I will then. Problem is once it happened, uninstalling the patch had no effect, so if I do incremental patch and find the culprit, I'm back to having to reload from the ground up (roughly 11 hours worth of work).
