Well, I would say to use the start date as 0:00:00 and the end date as 23:55:00, with a recurring time of 5 minutes. I don't use the scheduler that much, but I just tried a test on my dev machine (MX, tho) and it worked fine.
I don't think anything should be any different for 5.0....
