Exact; what I mean is that all those Zip facilities use about the same zip 
library of tools.
If this library does not include empty directories in the zipped file, no 
matter you go through
PKZip, winZip, javaZip or whateverZip, you always end up with the same result.

I'm affraid (but of course I'm not sure) that the way the zip format itself is 
designed 
is the source of the problem:
the zip file does not contain directories AND files, but only files. To each 
file is associated
the full path it is supposed to be. If there is no file, then there is no 
directory either.

I had this problem once, and the only way to get around it was to have at least 
one empty file 
in any directory.
