I'm trying to install ColdFusion MX7 to a brand new Windows 2003 server
with IIS for a client.

I get one error when I install:

"Additional Notes: ERROR - standalone.xmlUnable to delete file
C:\CFusionMX7\WEB-INF\cfusion\lib\msapps.jar"

I have left the file there and I have also deleted it, but to no avail.

I have re-installed once. Each time, I have rebooted after installing.
I have run the IIS_connector.bat file as well.

I still cannot get ColdFusion to run. When I access any .cfm page, I
get the following:

"404 null"

And the title bar says "JRun Servlet Error".

I've called Macromedia, but they said installation support is only
handled via e-mail and someone will get back to me within one business
day, but that means Monday probably. I'd like to get this working today
so I can start migrating sites to the new server over the weekend.

I've tried searching the CF-TALK mailing list, but didn't there *used*
to be a search function? I don't see it anymore and, yes, I am logged
in as a registered user. There is the search at the very top of the
page, but that seems to search the entire houseoffusion web site. It
would be nice if I could just search the CF-TALK list. If there is a
way and I'm just too stupid to figure it out, I apologize.

Anyway, I did the whole site search and also paged back through the
archives, but I can't find a hint as to what else I should do.

One of the questions I had for Macromedia was to what degree are the
installation instructions/tips similar between MX6 and MX7. I'm
guessing they are pretty similar, but I don't want to make matters worse
using solutions for one version to fix another.

Am I missing something basic here?

I've read through the installing.pdf on the CD, but that doesn't offer
and clues either.

I'm really at my wit's end here and will appreciate any assitance you
fine folks on the list can offer.

Is there a step-by-step how-to manual or good non-macromedia FAQ or web
page that has some pointers?

I get the list in digest form every 6 hours, so I will appreciate it if
you can copy me directly on any replies.

Thanks a lot!
