Too true - but the benefit is that for some people (like me) who chack many email addresses through the same client (I'm up to about 12) I've got one solution that does it for everything. Most of the servers I use offer some spam protection of their own, but I still have to go up and check the "junk" folders manually for all them individually. Using a client-side solution I have to wait for the download, but I consolidate the work.
