You know, there's nothing keeping me from using
http://example.com/archives/?2005/4/25
http://example.com/archives.cfm?2005/4/25

You can get the data from the variable #cgi.query_string# although
according to the article, these would not pass as SES url's merely
because they include a question-mark in the url.
