Thanks for clearing that up, Sean. I know a lot of people (myself 
included) who have had confusion over this issue.

So, to summarize...

If your client is a flash application, you can still use session and 
application variables exactly the same as if your client was a typical 
web browser, using the same application.

That actually makes me like flash remoting a bit more.
