Something to be aware of when running anti-virus program updates on a server... We had to reduce the frequency of updates when we discovered that the updates would cause the virus scanning service to restart each time. This would deny any incoming/outgoing requests to/from the server, and would drop the connections to our database server while the service restarted. Anyone completing a transaction at that time would lose their session data.
