If different colors would go into different categories (seems a bit odd but is bussiness could dictate this) how would you approach it differently than what you originally presented? Example: A dress comes in a variety of colors Red, Pastel Blue, Green, Yellow, Black. The dress is a Spring Dress. The Pastel Blue would make a great easter Clothing option Black wouldn't be very Easter like. At this point how do you design your model? When you design a schema you can not only look at what is happening but what might happen. OUr main bussiness objective where I work is reporting so theres not a lot fo speculation as to what might happen...designing schema is simple and straight foreward...thats not always the case though, ecspecialy in ecommerce (which obviously is what I am using as a backing for this...take it out of the cantext and good chance I have no foot to stand on :) )
