The component path is the default location that the pollster installer
html file says.  Specifically the path is: "pollster.components"

Is there a way to test just the remoting to see if it is seeing the cfc
it needs to see?

that would indeed be a good indication
now you would have to check the application.cfm file of pollster to make

sure that the path(s) are set up correctly so that the remoting can
actually 
find the cfc
