Not true with MX 6.0. If you looked at the Java source code generated by tag-based code, every single line translated to a line of code inside its very own do-while loop, but the same block of code implemented as cfscript-based code ran within a single do-while loop for the entire block. I know they changed the code generation with 6.1 so they probably changed this, but it was kinda scary back when.
